Art Trails

Art, history and architecture in the heart of Naples

Starting from our boutique houses in Vomero, you can discover the artistic, historic and architectural riches of Naples through exclusive, customisable itineraries.

Working with licensed professional guides who know the city intimately, Daymoon House offers experiences designed to take you to its most iconic places: from the UNESCO-listed historic centre to the museums, the monumental palaces and the most striking viewpoints over the Bay of Naples.

Every route can be tailored to your interests and to the time you have, turning a simple visit into an authentic, absorbing encounter with the truest soul of the city.

How the tours are structured

Our itineraries are designed to offer an authentic, personalised way into the city. Routes can be arranged as a half day or a full day, depending on your interests, the time available and the places you would like to see.

Experiences can be booked directly through a member of our staff, who takes care of the arrangements personally, working with professional guides specialised in art history and in the Neapolitan cultural heritage.

You will walk the city's most atmospheric alleys, its historic squares and the places that hold centuries of art, culture and tradition. Alongside the best-known sites, you will find quieter corners that are every bit as compelling, discovered through the stories, curiosities, myths and legends that make Naples unlike anywhere else.

For those who want to go further, routes can be extended with stops dedicated to Neapolitan street food, internationally renowned, tasting the most authentic specialities of the local tradition: a journey through flavour, history and culture.

Any entrance fees for museums, monuments and sites of interest are generally payable by guests, unless the selected package states otherwise.

National Archaeological Museum (MANN) and the historic centre

An itinerary spanning more than two thousand years, from the National Archaeological Museum of Naples — home to the extraordinary Farnese and Egyptian collections and to finds from Pompeii, Herculaneum and Magna Graecia — to the beating heart of the historic centre.

Walking the length of the celebrated Decumanus Maximus (Spaccanapoli), you come across some of the city's most iconic places: the church of the Gesù Nuovo, the monumental complex of Santa Chiara, the Cappella Sansevero with its Veiled Christ, and the atmospheric via San Gregorio Armeno, known worldwide for its artisan workshops.

Naples Historic Centre

A journey into the authentic heart of Naples, in search of its Greek and Roman roots.

From the ancient walls of Neapolis still visible at Piazza Bellini to the Decumani, the route takes in some of the city's most important artistic and religious treasures: the Basilica of San Gregorio Armeno, the Basilica of San Paolo Maggiore, the monumental complex of San Lorenzo Maggiore, the Cappella Sansevero and the Pio Monte della Misericordia, home to Caravaggio's masterpiece, the Seven Works of Mercy.

An itinerary rich in art, history, tradition and the stories that reveal the city's truest character.

Monumental Naples

A route dedicated to the most emblematic landmarks of Bourbon and monumental Naples.

From the majestic Piazza del Plebiscito at the city's heart, you take in the Royal Palace, the Basilica of San Francesco di Paola, the Teatro di San Carlo — the oldest opera house in Europe still in use — and the elegant Galleria Umberto I.

The itinerary continues to Castel Nuovo, known as the Maschio Angioino, one of the monuments that best embodies the history of Naples, witness to centuries of political, artistic and cultural life.

An experience for anyone who wants to see the city's most elegant and aristocratic face.
