The thermal waters
The Parco Terme di Agnano covers roughly four hectares, on a site where the ancient Romans built a magnificent thermal complex at the behest of Emperor Hadrian in the first and second centuries AD. The mineral waters here — rich in sodium chloride, iodine, bromine, calcium, bicarbonate and sulphides — are of a type found nowhere else on earth. Nearby Greco-Roman archaeological remains add a further layer of historical depth to the visit.
